5 Must-Haves From Franklin + Whitman
I never thought I’d see the day that I cared so much about skincare. That all changed back in April of 2017 when I first tried Franklin + Whitman [@frankandwhit]. Needless to say, I’ve been hooked ever since. This Philadelphia-based skincare company is all-natural, cruelty free, vegan, and best of all…their social mission: 5% of all sales go to dog rescue organizations!
After using nearly every product of theirs over the last year and a half, I’ve pulled together a list of my 5 must-have Franklin & Whitman products [in no particular order]. Time to stock up for your next #selfcaresunday!
CHESTNUT HILL CLEANSING SERUM | gone are the days where you wash your face and end up with black streaks down your cheeks or circles around your eyes of mascara. This stuff is gold! I was hesitant to use an oil-based cleanser at first but that all changed after this magically removed every last drop of makeup…everything! I don’t wear too much makeup on a daily basis so usually 2 pumps of this is all I need; I also only use this at night. Just pump the product into your hand, rub on your face as if you were washing it, then rinse with warm [not hot] water and a soft wash cloth.
LAUREL HILL FACIAL TONER | the facial toner as become the BFF to my skin. After using the cleanser at night, I spritz on cooling sprays of the toner all over my face and neck. I also use this in the mornings after I splash my face with water. The toner helps to balance the pH and also re-hydrates and refines skin. You can spritz this on your face basically any time during the day for a skin pick-me-up. This stuff is a spritz of love for your skin!
NORTHERN LIBERTIES FACE MASK | face masks have become the epitome of self care. Frank + Whit has numerous face masks but my true love is their new Northern Liberties mask. It’s made with organic hibiscus, rice powder and pink clay. The unique combo helps to exfoliate skin, speed up cell turnover and helps to control acne breakouts. The Northern Liberties mask is also the least drying of all their masks which makes it safe enough to use daily. As someone with pretty dry skin, this is a win-win for me! My skin feels so incredibly soft after I use this, and best of all - the mask is millennial pink!
DRY SHAMPOO | I’ve said it before [more on that here] and I’ll say it again - this dry shampoo is life changing! The dry shampoo comes in a dark hair and a light hair formula, so gone are the days of that white powdery look in your hair, this stuff blends right in! Not only does it absorb any excess oils in your hair, but it adds some much needed volume when you are on day 2 [or 3 or 4] of “dirty hair.” I typically will shake some of the product into my hair, flip my head upside down, and massage into my scalp. If I have any problem areas, I’ll sprinkle a little extra right to my roots and massage in. The scents of the dry shampoo are so refreshing, they leave your hair smelling - and looking - freshly washed!
EAST PASSYUNK BODY SCRUB | although this is a year-round staple for me, it’s especially a go-to during the colder months to keep my skin looking fresh. This is my favorite scent of the bunch - brown sugar, vanilla bean and grapefruit. The body scrub locks in moisture and gently buffs away dead skin cells. Your skin will look and feel radiant after using it! I keep this in the shower and typically use once a week, sometimes twice in the colder months for some extra skin love.
