My Go-To Products from Sephora

My Go-To Products from Sephora -- The Life She Wanders

I’m a Sephora girl through and through and have always loved all things beauty. I grew up in the competitive dance world so makeup was normal to me from a very young age…although performance makeup is much different than everyday looks! I don’t look at makeup as a means to cover things up, I look at it as tools to enhance and bring added life. I’ve also become a big proponent of clean beauty products over the past couple of years and love all of the options Sephora has.

I don’t talk about beauty too much here on the blog but it is definitely something I want to share more about. Below, I’ve rounded up 11 of my current go-to products from Sephora including skincare, makeup and lippies. These are all products I truly use and I would never recommend anything I don’t fully support or use in my daily life. Needless to say, these are all winners in my book! Keep scrolling to see my go-to items!

My Go-To Products from Sephora -- The Life She Wanders

Coola Mineral Face SPF 30 Matte Tint

I was first introduced to Coola at The GOOD Fest a couple of years ago and have been hooked since! I think it is so important to wear sunscreen daily and I love that this is an all-natural, plant based product. I also like that it is tinted and has matte coverage. I don’t typically wear too much makeup so I like to use this as “foundation” and it’s great for those days where you don’t want to wear makeup. It goes on so smooth and creates and really natural, matte tint to your face.

Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen

I actually just started using this about a week ago after it being highly recommend to me. So far I love it! It is another clean beauty product which is key for me. It is a completely different from the Coola tinted sunscreen mentioned above. This is a bit more creamy and gives more coloring to my face. This is a really great option for those no makeup days! I find I don’t need to use a ton of product to get full, even coverage. You could even mix this in with your moisturizer or face serum for an added bonus.

Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream

I had a facial a few weeks ago for my birthday and after discussing my one skin problem area with the esthetician, she quickly made me aware that the skin around my eyes was VERY dry and that I needed an eye cream ASAP!! I wasn’t too familiar with eye creams but this one came highly recommended and has great reviews so I decided to give it a try. It’s amazing!! It is such a creamy and moisturizing formula. It is meant to firm, brighten and hydrate and although I’ve only been using this for a short period of time, I can already start to see improvements. I highly recommend this!

Dr. Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Perfect Skin Set & Refresh Mist

The power of packaging and marketing got me on this product about a year ago…but I like it! It’s a set and refresh mist that has vitamin C and collagen in it. It smells amazing!! I loved using it during busy event days as a refresh or after being outside on a warm day. I don’t know if the vitamin C and collagen actually did anything for my skin but the fresh scent and coolness of the mist definitely made me feel refreshed!

BareMinerals Matte Loose Powder Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 [Color: 12 - Medium Beige]

I have been using BareMinerals since college and have not turned back since! This stuff is absolutely amazing and they were one of the first all-natural beauty brands in the marketing [at least that I was aware of]. I’m a big fan of the matte formula over their original; I just think it looks more natural on my skin and blends in so easily. I’m a fairly pale person and find this shade [#12 - medium beige] matches my skin perfectly!

BareMinerals Matte Loose Powder Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 [Color: 20 - Golden Tan]

You’re probably thinking, “Two foundations in very different colors…why??” Again since college I had been using BareMinerals “Warmth” as bronzer and yes it certainly made me look tan AF but over the past couple of years I just felt like it wasn’t doing much for me. It was SO dark for someone so fair-skinned like me [no matter how little I used or how fluffy of a brush I used] and I felt like the pigmentation was too orange for my skin tone. Knowing that I loved the matte powder foundation, I decided to find a darker shade that complimented my skin color but gave a natural looking glow. So far I’m loving it! I went with shade #20 [golden tan] and it gives just that subtle sun-kissed glow I’ve been looking for. As my mom said, “You don’t look umm, colorful anymore, it looks so natural!” That’s how you know it’s a winner!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush [Color: Exposed]

I don’t know about you but I always seemed to struggle finding a good everyday blush color. After years of competitive dance, I felt like everything I was used to was stage makeup pink. Thankfully, Tarte came to the rescue! First off, I love that they are a clean beauty brand - that is so important to me. I liked that variety of colors they had available, especially for someone like me who was somewhat blush illiterate. I ended up with the color “Exposed” which is a nude pink. It is perfect for someone like me who goes for more of a natural look but wants just a subtle pop/hint of color. This shade also has none of that glitter or sparkly crap in it…totally not my style! The product also lasts SO long!! I feel like I’ve had this compact for nearly a year and it’s still going strong.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick [Color: Chai]

I’ve become such a lipstick person lately and don’t know how I’ve gone so long not wearing it daily! The good ol’ dance days brought bright fuschia, red or that dark moody emo color so once again, I struggled finding shades that worked on a daily basis for me. This Bite Beauty lipstick was a gift from my mom and I fell in love with it after one use! Once again, it’s a clean beauty brand and that’s a huge win in my book. The formula is incredibly smooth and I feel it stays on for a very long time throughout the day. I currently have it in the color “Chai” which is a mauve brown shade. I am excited to get a few more color options for spring and summer!

Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon [Color: Glace]

This was also part of a gift from my mom and it’s a winner in my book! The crayon applicator makes it so simple to apply and it is such a creamy and moisturizing formula. I have it in the color “Glace” which is a dusty mauve. I will wear it either by itself or as a base/liner to the Amuse Bouche lipstick. This is also an incredibly smooth formula and stays on for a very long time throughout the day.

*PS: you can get both of these Bite Beauty items in a limited edition exclusive two-pack!

Sephora Collection Lip Stories [Color: Oui!]

If you’re looking for a lip color that is more on the affordable side - like $8 affordable - the Sephora #lipstories collection is for you! How can you say no to $8 lipstick that is a silky smooth, cream formula and comes in all shades under the sun?! It’s a no brainer! I like this pinky-nude color and find it’s great for wearing everyday.

Sephora Collection Lip Stories [Color: Matinee]

At $8 I had to get a second one of these! This is also the cream formula and goes on so silky smooth. This shade give your lips such a nice pop without being too dramatic which I like. It is definitely a great option for the fall but can certainly be worn daily or to an event.
