2019 Gift Guide: For Parents

2019 Gift Guide: For Parents -- The Life She Wanders

It’s day 3 of Gift Guide week and this gift guide is all about parents. Whether biological, adoptive, parental figures and beyond, these are some of the most special people in each of our lives. From tech and home gifts, to those more personal, there are gifts for every price point included. A majority of these items my parents own and love, and some are things I thought would be great gift options for any parent.

First up is the Courant Catch:2 Wireless Charger. I don’t know about you but I hate trying to find a charger and figuring out where to plug it in. This wireless charger takes away the charging fuss and gives you a dedicated space to charge your device. Whether it’s on the kitchen counter, an end table or in the bedroom, it’s a one-stop-shop for charging not only their smartphones, but also AirPods and Apple Watch.

If your parents are coffee lovers, they are going to love the Keurig K-Elite Single Serve Coffee Maker with Iced Coffee Setting. With multiple cup size options, an option for strong or regular brew, and even an option for iced coffee! This Keurig does just about everything. My dad is a big coffee drinker and uses his Keurig all of the time. He loves the strong feature option for when he needs a little extra boost in his coffee.

Streaming is seemingly taking over the TV world so this Roku Ultra Streaming Media Player will be the perfect gift for your parents! My parents have these throughout their house and have completely switched over to the streaming life. They love how easy Roku is to use, and the remote even has a button option that takes them directly to their Hulu and Netflix accounts. It’s fool proof for any parent whether they are super techy or not.

You’ve seen me talk about this next gift a lot and I have to say it’s because my parents got me hooked on it! The Pottery Barn Faux Fur Ruched Throw is what dreams are made of! It is so soft and cozy, the perfect oversized blanket for relaxing on the couch. My parents have this in their living room and my dad has pretty much monopolized using it lol A great gift that you might not typically think of gifting but something that will be loved and used for a long time! [I’ve even given this blanket as a wedding gift!]

If your parents are adventurous and love going to the beach, camping, tailgating, road trips or even just hanging out in the back yard, they’ll love this next gift option. Yeti is all the rage and their coolers are absolutely amazing! My parents have both the Yeti Tundra 45 Cooler and the Yeti Roadie 20 Cooler and they get so much use out of them. They keep things cold for not just hours…but days!! Yes they are pricey for a cooler but they are 1000% worth every single penny.

Do you parents misplace their keys, wallet, phone, purse, etc? If so, the Tile Mate (2020) 4 Pack is the gift for them! They can hook these tiles into any item they typically misplace and through an app on their phone, they’ll be able to find just exactly where it is!

This next gift option is certainly pricey so if you have siblings or other family members to go in the gift together on, it’s sure to be a hit! Move over regular ol’ TV’s because smart TV’s are taking over. The TV in my parents family room just hit the bed last week so they are on the hunt for a new smart TV. We have Samsung Smart TV’s in our vacation home and they are great quality and very user friendly. This Samsung 55” Smart 4K UHD TV is sure to bring a smile to your parents this holiday!

Last but certainly not least is much more of a personal gift option. The Artifact Uprising Color Series Photobook is sure to bring a smile - and maybe even a tear - to your parents face. Create a custom photobook of a recent family vacation, the grandkids, them over the years…the options are endless. This would even be a great option for new parents so they have a keepsake of their newborn’s first moments.

And there you have it, the ultimate Gift Guide for Parents! If you have any must-have gift suggestions let me know and I’ll add them to a bonus section at the bottom of this post. Happy holidays!
