The Non-Toxic Nail Polish I'm Loving
If you’ve been following me for any length of time you know my love for an at-home manicure and pedicure. For me, it is much less expensive than going to the salon and for someone like me who likes to change their color up nearly weekly, it allows for that flexibility.
I’ve shared quite a few nail posts here on the blog, including the best nail colors for spring and the 20 best neutral nail colors. Last month I shared on Instagram this new to me non-toxic nail polish that I found at Target called TenOverTen. I had been thinking of making the switch to non-toxic for some time and finally decided to bite the bullet…and I’m so glad I did!
The quality of the TenOverTen nail polish is like non-other. It’s a luxurious formula that goes on smooth, evenly and shiny, even without a top coat. The colors are rich and pigmented which I appreciate so you aren’t having to put coat up coat upon coat on of polish. I typically do 2 coats and am good to go! The non-toxic polish comes in a variety of colors from neutrals to bold hues like plum and red. I own it in mulberry, hester, washington and market. I can’t wait to keep adding shades to my collection!
Along with colored polish, they also have a strenghtening base coat and a shiny protectant top coat, both of which I have and love! The base coat is so hydrating and really nourishes your nails and provides the perfect layer for color. The top coat is much thinner than any I’ve used before which I truly enjoy. Though the polish itself has a shine to it, this adds a layer of protection to your nails to help avoid chipping. Because it is a thinner formula.
The price of TenOverTen is a little higher than your typical nail polish [$11.99 for colors, $17.99 for base & top coat] but in my honest opinion, it is 110% worth it! Not only is it non-toxic, but the high shine and long lasting formula performs much better than traditional polish. I’ve had polish on my toes without any top coat since the beginning of the year and they still look like I just got them done. This polish is impressive and a must-have!
