5 Must-Have Nail Colors for Fall

5 Must-Have Nail Colors for Fall -- The Life She Wanders

There is nothing that makes me feel more like I have my life together than having my nails done. Anyone else feel this way?! I’m not one to go to the salon for a manicure unless it is a super special occasion so I love the thrill of hunting for the perfect shades to match the season or my mood. With the cooler weather arriving and the leaves changing, I’ve put together my top 5 must-have nail colors for the fall.

ESSIE ETERNAL OPTIMIST | if you aren’t ready to give up your pink summer nails, this shade is for you! This light mauve color is a favorite of mine and such a staple in the fall [and even the summer if you’re not a huge pink fan like me]. It’s soft enough for the muted vibes of fall but still has that little pop of color to make it stand out.

ESSIE DRIVE-IN & DINE | this color was a new find for me this fall and I can’t get enough of it! It’s sort of purple yet burgundy and to me, the epitome of fall. It sort of reminds me of wine…which we all know I love! It’s also a great option if you’re looking for more of a pop than the Eternal Optimist shade above.

ESSIE PETAL PUSHERS | this shade has been a fall staple of mine for years! The light grey is such a neutral color and makes transitioning from summer into fall a breeze, especially when you aren’t ready for dark nails. It goes with any and everything, and is a great compliment to casual and dressy outfits.

ESSIE SMOKIN’ HOT | if you’re looking for something a bit darker than Petal Pushers, this is the one for you. This has been another staple of mine for years and I love the unique shade of grey-ish purple - or greyple as I like to call it! Although it is a darker shade, it is still a great neutral and not too harsh for that transition into fall.

ESSIE SEEING STARS | this one is a bit outside of what I would normally pick for my nails but the moment I saw it I had to have it! It’s a deep copper with a hint of classy sheen + “sparkle.” I think this will also transition perfectly into winter and be great for the holiday season.

Don’t forget to use a top coat or gel top coat to give your at-home mani the perfectly finished look. So now the decision is…what color to go with first?! Do you have a favorite nail color for fall? Share below in the comments!
