Abercrombie Jeans: Why I Love Them & My Favorite Styles

If you’ve been following me on Instagram for any length of time, you know my affinity for Abercrombie jeans. High school me certainly laughed when at age 29 I ventured into the too loud techno music, too much cologne sprayed store and gave their jeans a try. I had heard so many good things but was still a bit skeptical to be honest. Fast forward to today and I am officially hooked on their denim. So much so, that it’s the only brand of denim I own!

Given that I’ve worn them religiously for over a year now, I wanted to share what makes them so great along with the best of the best styles that I own. I want to note that this post is in no way, shape or form sponsored and these are my honest thoughts and opinions!

So without further ado, let’s dive into all things Abercrombie jeans!

WHY I LOVE THEM

For as long as I can remember, I always struggled finding jeans that fit me. I’m 5’3” on a good day, have a very arched back and have always had muscular thighs from dance and track. Jeans were always too long, couldn’t find the right size that fit my waist and legs, and I forever had the struggle of the “back gap” in jean. You know, when you sit and they poke out like whoa in the back and the world can see things they don’t need to. Yup, the worst!

So after hearing so many great things about Abercrombie jeans, I decided to try them for myself. Fun fact: I worked at Abercrombie Kids in high school so I was familiar with their standard of quality and style. The first pair I tried were the high rise super skinny jeans in rinse wash and y’all, it was love at first try on! I remember thinking “wait, these fit my waist AND my thighs?! There’s no back gap?! Can jeans really be this comfortable?!”

I was also thoroughly impressed with the price and quality of the jeans. Back in the day when I worked at Abercrombie Kids, the brand rarely ever had sales and if they did, it was all of a few dollars off. Nowadays, they have sales all of the time and I’ve come to find that their jeans are on sale probably 90% of the time. Needless to say, I’ve yet to pay full price for a pair of their jeans #saleshopper

Their jeans are also very comfortable! They have the perfect blend of stretch and structure. I’m not a fan of jeggings because they are too stretchy and not jean-like enough for me. Abercrombie jeans still have typical denim structure with the perfect amount of stretch and soft fabric to make them comfortable day in and day out.

MY FAVORITE STYLES I OWN

As I said before, the only denim I own in my wardrobe are from Abercrombie. I’ve accumulated my fair share of them over the past year plus and am not stopping anytime soon! I thought it would be helpful to share each style I own with sizing and fit details to help make your denim hunt as seamless and easy as possible. So let’s get to it!

#1: HIGH RISE SUPER SKINNY JEANS

These High Rise Super Skinny Jeans are my tried and true jeans from Abercrombie that got me hooked like whoa! I own them in 3 washes: rinse, black and dark wash. I seriously get SO much wear out of these, and they can easily be dressed up or dressed down. They run TTS and I wear a 24/00 short.

#2: HIGH RISE SUPER SKINNY WHITE JEANS

I had forever wanted a pair of white jeans but in all honesty hated every pair I had ever tried on…until this pair of High Rise Super Skinny White Jeans. They were always too thin of a material making them see-through, too tight and made my thighs feel massive, or way too stretchy. These are again the perfect amount of stretch and structure, and are not see-through at all..a win-win!. They are a little more stretchy than the traditional denim washes so I did size up one to a 25/0 short and they fit perfectly. If you’ve been on the hunt for white denim with no luck, definitely give these a try. They are originally $78 but are currently on sale for just $24.99 plus an additional 15% off in cart!!

#3: HIGH RISE DISTRESSED MOM JEANS

If you don’t own a pair of mom jeans, you are missing out! I love the more relaxed fit of mom jeans, yet you can still dress them up with heels and a leather jacket for a night out in the city, or pair with a tee and sneakers for running weekend errands. The exact pair I have they no longer make but they have these high rise distressed mom jeans in a medium ripped wash that I’m currently adding to my cart, along with these high rise distressed ankle mom jeans in light ripped wash, too. As far as sizing goes, in all honestly I struggled finding the right size. I had put on some stress and depression weight at the time I got mine so I sized up to a 25/0 for more room. They were still quite tight but new with some wear that they’d stretch out. Now that I’m back to my normal weight, unfortunately I find them to be huge! There is a ton of room in the waist and the front area, almost making it look like I have a diaper on lol Liz Adams talked about this diaper look in her stories recently [saved to a highlight called Denim 101]. Rumor has it they’ve upgraded their new mom jean styles that I linked above so I’m definitely going to be giving them a try so I can replace my current ones.

#4: ULTRA HIGH RISE SUPER SKINNY JEANS

I’m a high rise jean lover through and through. I have a long torso so for me, high rise jeans just barely hit my belly button aka low rise jeans are NOT my friend! So with that, I recently decided to give their Ultra High Rise Super Skinny Jeans a try. Their traditional high rise jeans have an 11” front rise while the ultra high rise have a 12” rise. Not a huge difference for someone like me with a long torso so I was excited to give them a try. They are amazing and the rise is perfect for shorter length tops and sweaters. I have them in a 25/0 short in the light wash, which is the perfect light color denim IMO!

#5: HIGH RISE SUPER SKINNY BUTTON-FLY ANKLE JEANS

I have wanted a pair of button-fly jeans for so long now but was also equally as afraid to try them. I had this strange fear that they’d make your stomach area look bigger [like what?! lol] and that all the buttons would be uncomfortable. Boy was I wrong! These High Rise Super Skinny Button-Fly Ankle Jeans might be my new favorite pair that I own! I have them in black with a raw hem in a size 25/0 regular. I had read many reviews that their ankle length jeans run a little short so I went with the regular length instead of short and I’m so happy I did! They hit right above my ankle and had I gone with the short length, they would have been capri…not a good look lol I’ve worn these out on the weekend with heels and during the week with a tee and flat booties so they are extremely versatile which I love.

And there you have it, a full review of Abercrombie jeans and the styles I own and love! Have you tried their jeans out? Have a favorite brand of denim you think I should try? Share below in the comments!
